My Pavlovian response to ATC was developed as a child when my parents would blast the show for hours. Given the excitement ATC holds for most kids, &quot;da da, da da&quot; became an instant recipe for a nap. Once established, this response has never changed, and I can be a real hazard on the roads if I accidentally tune into ATC. If you live in a town filled with the 30-something children of the semi-elite, I would advise staying off the road at the top of the hour (and seemingly every two minutes after that), during the 6 or 7 hours your local NPR affiliate probably devotes to ATC.</description>
